UNDP has sanctioned an amount of Rs.27,00,000/- to SCRWWO, Vijayawada in December 2003 with the object of extending support to HIV/AIDS infected and affected women in the form of micro-credit, for income generation activities. As on date loans have been sanctioned to 204 beneficiaries for an amount of Rs.20,83,400/- (Rupees Twenty Lakhs eighty three thousand and Four hundred only). The Beneficiaries activities include Tailoring & embroidery , Running Grocery shops, Milk business , Sheep Rearing &Poultry farming , Motor Cycle Cover making & sale of spare parts, Vegetable Cultivation, Pickle Business, Tiffin & fast food centre bsiness, Internet & D.T.P. Work , Sweet Box Making , Timber Depot to mention a few.

This micro-credit helps not only in supplementing income but increasing their self esteem.

The Railways had allotted a 'Special Code ' ensuring Automatic deduction from the applicant's salary.
